Appointment Time/Date: 07:35 / 2020-01-16
1. Started queuing outside the embassy at 06:30
2. Entered the embassy building at 07:30
3. Interview finished at 11:00 (10 minute interview)
Took more than 4 hours until it was my turn for consul interview. Most of the K-1 visa applicants haave a duration of 15-20 minutes interview time.
Here's some questions that were asked:
a. Basic questions about yourself (name, birthdate, job)
b. Basic question about your fiance (name, birthdate, job)
c. Where does your fiance live?
d. How did you and your fiance meet?
e. Does he have any children or spouse?
f. What does he do for a living?
g. Did your fiance visit you in the Philippines?
h. When did you first and last meet?
i. Did you have a formal engagement?
And the documents that were asked: birth certificate, CENOMAR, NBI clearance, Affidavit of Support, fiance's latest tax returns and W-2

Very smooth and few questions asked, and if not for the Coronavirus they might not asked any questions at all!
These are the only questions they asked me:
1. Where do you come from?
2. Where have you traveled for the past 2 weeks.
Then they sent me to another room, and waiting for a couple of minutes, then the other IO said I'm good to go |

Embassy Review : |
We are lucky the officer who interviewed us for Green Card (from K-1) was very practical and kind. He did not ask those hundreds of questions about security (i.e. are you a terrorist? have you committed a crime?). He just asked us our basic personal information - name, birthday, work. He didn't ask about anything about our marriage nor required us to submit anything that will prove our bona fide relationship. The interview took around 20 minutes and at the end he said that he's going to approve our application! javascript:emoticon('') |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
