I got brot into a bigger area in the back where they process the packet from the embassy. I was in and out in five minutes all he asked was what date am I getting married and I just said we were picking up the marriage license next week - then he stamped the passport and directed me out the door. |

Embassy Review : |
I had my k1 Interview on October 15th at 1pm. I arrived around 15 minutes early and was told to just wait to be called in at 1. Once called in it's like airport security, no liquids allowed etc and electronics get locked in a little locker and you get given the key and told to go through.
I was first in the line so once I went in I got called almost immediately to give in my documents. I got asked for my passport, passport photos(USA size) original birth certificate + photocopy, Original divorce decree from my fiance's previous marriage +photocopy, Police Certificates, I-134, 2018 Tax transcript and a letter from my fiance's employer confirming his income. Once I had given all the paperwork I was told to take a seat and wait to be called.
The interview with the consular officer was a really pleasant experience, he seemed really friendly and approachable and it was just like having a chat, he told me to tell him about my fiance, how did we meet, when did we decide to get married and what our plans were for getting married and that was it. He said everything looked fine bar an issue with my police certificate (I have a few nationalities and even though I never lived in those other countries I was required to get police clearance from them - so for anyone who isn't sure just get one to be safe) So the officer gave me a 221g requesting the Certificates and official translations.
Once I got what they wanted two weeks after my interview I sent them in and three days later my visa was issued. Overall very positive experience despite the little delay at the end. To anyone who has an upcoming interview, relax, be on top of your paperwork and just be yourself ☺ï¸â˜ºï¸ðŸ‘ |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
