Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 28, 2019
Embassy Review : We arrived at Ciudad Juarez on Sunday June 23, stayed at IBIS hotel for the proximity to our appointments. Had our bio metrics on Mon 06/28 at 2:45, just a 10 minute walk form hotel. We had Medical on Tues 06/25 at 3:30, this was just a 5 minute walk. We had Wed 06/26 "off" Our interview was on Thurs 06/27 at 8:30am was out by 10:45.
-In my fiance's opinion, she had a very pleasant interview officer, interview lasted no more than 5 minutes
-Weather was very hot, warmest day was 105 and lowest was 94
-There is a mall down the street from the consulate (shopping, restaurants, movie theater)
-There are also numerous restaurants in the area (Dennys, Wendy's, McDonald's, Starbucks)
-Security is at a maximum around the clock, very safe in the area
-CDJ Airport is approx 20 minutes away
-ELP Airport is also approx 30 minutes (times may vary depending on line at border crossing)
Rating : Very Good

how long did it take for you to get packet 3?
Cesar623 on 2019-05-22 said:
Hi MarcoVal0317, NVC sent out on April 16th to Cd Juarez, I received Package 03 on May 9th in Chicago. My fiance has not received anything in Michoacan, Mexico (I don't know why) If NVC sent out your case already, I suggest that you don't wait for package 03 to arrive. Do either of the following; Call CD Juarez 703-249-4628, then press options 01, 03, 06, 01 then just stay on hold. There were times when I had to waited over 10 minutes but there were also times when I waited less than 5 minutes. They will ask for a case number CDJXXXXXXXXXX, they will ask for an invoice number issued by NVC XXXXXXXX, beneficiary passport number and date of birth. They will help you create a profile and will guide you through the all the steps. OR you can set up your profile on your own https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-mx/iv/users/sign_in I also found this to be very useful to me, these are some of the forms that will be needed https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1forms

Hi Cesar, congrats on your approval, are you saying we can apply right away after Juarez received our petition without having to wait for P3? Is there any specific info to the P3 and each case or is it a generic letter with instructions? Thanks in advance

Hi Horty, thank you. The p3 (packet 03) is in fact a basic welcome letter form El Consulado de Ciudad Juarez that informs you on "the following steps" That's it, in our case, we proceeded as I explained above, scheduled our biometrics, medical and enterview accordingly. My suggestion, if nvc already sent your file to Cd Juarez, fill out ds-160, then call Cd Juarez to arrange for visa payment. Best of luck to you.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
