Asked for proof of vaccinations although this was part of the K-1 process to enter the country! Hubby called the 800# and after an hour got it straightened out. Doesn't have to have more shots but has to write a letter explaining things. |

Very frustrating...because of the RFE for the vaccinations, they stopped processing everything, even though we did exactly what Immigration said. After an Infopass interview, things got moving again. |

Mailed it on 12/18; let the waiting begin! Green card expires 3/8. Check cashed on 1/2/08. Transfered to VSC Got notified of Biometrics appt. on January 28. Their website shows approved on 10/31; says should receive GCard in 30 days. We rec'd it in 4-5 days, but they spelled his last name wrong. WHY?? They've had it right for 3+ years! So it's as good as useless. He submitted a letter, per their instructions, back in Nov. and we still don't have a corrected Green Card. Very frustrated yet again. |

Didn't have to wait too long; brought in a BOX of stuff - photos of us, bills, bank statements, etc etc - big box. The woman who interviewed us was very pleasant. Asked to see a few of the papers (bank statements, mortgage info w/ both our name on it, etc) and that was it. It was over very quickly - we were surprised. We asked her why she didn't need to see more (she was very chatty) and she said it was because she could tell when we got there that we were married cause we wanted to be, and were happy. Said there's a big difference between couples who are trying to use the system, and those who just want to be together. On our way our, she saw our wedding photos and asked to see them - only cause she thought they looked nice! She had already done the paperwork and said we could go. Overall, it was quick and painless - just be prepared and bring all your stuff. She saw we were prepared, which definitely helped. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
