Wow! So happy for you to get the NOA2.
May I ask if you met your fiancee online like I did? You got yours really quickly!
Helenlc on 2019-03-24 said:
Yes we met gaming online.... i kicked his backside but i'm sure he would say he kicked mine... We visited obviously a lot before filing... but i had OCD with my application so made sure everything was in order and crossed referenced etc and tried to make it as easy and comprehensive as possible for the USCIS officers.

Did you include the TOS from the website you met on to show it was not an IMB?
Helenlc on 2019-03-27 said:
No we didn't... In our evidence of in person meeting we included a letter that covered how we met.... basically we said that we met online gaming the name of the game and when how we started talking (we were in the same alliance) and how it progressed.

I'm in the UK too and don't really know what to do while waiting for the NOA2... do you have a job/are studying while waiting?
Helenlc on 2019-03-27 said:
I'm at the end of the process really now so I'm busy packing up my house as its just sold... Im a full time career for my son who has autism so plenty to keep busy with... You could get a part time job while your waiting or start preparing to move etc.

How did you find out that the NVC received the petition?
I figured that the next thing my fiancee would get is a letter from the NVC once the petition leaves the NVC.
Banana9ieue on 2019-04-25 said:
Hi, did you book your Medical appointment right after getting your case number from the NVC? How did you do it?
Helenlc on 2019-04-25 said:
ohh sorry i called and got the number from them.... and yes i booked it as soon as i got the number from the NVC and had everything ready to go... its quiet simple phone the number on the UK American Embassy site under fiancee visa / medical if you need the link can send!
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-05 said:
When you went to your Medical exam did you take the attachment on the email sent to you from the NVC which has your case number on it?
And how long did it take from when they told you your case was ready for you to receive a letter from the Embassy?
Thank you!!!
Helenlc on 2019-05-05 said:
Hi ya, I got the letter from the NVC website and printed it from there.... the letter arrived after my medical so last week.
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-06 said:
What was the extent of the physical examination? My exam is on Thursday and am concerned that it will be uncomfortable. Thank you :).
Helenlc on 2019-05-06 said:
Its the wait more then anything between everything.... you get there and fill the paperwork out, then provide a urine sample... then wait.... then i had a chest X-ray... you have to strip the top half and wear a gown they provide... after that more waiting... then into the doctor for a basic examination, eye exam which is literally reading one line of text... and bloods.. then more waiting then into the nurse about injections etc... thats all it was... hope that helps
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-10 said:
Congratulations!
How much time did you leave between your Medical and your Interview?
Did you take the letter/email from the Embassy with you?
Helenlc on 2019-05-11 said:
10 days and yes i had the letter with me wasn't needed, they wanted the appointment letter, ds-160, ACRO, birth cert, financial support documents, marriage and divorce cert if previously married, and any change of name forms etc... passports and photo.. i also had court documents regarding my child... but it was all really simple...
StaROI on 2019-05-12 said:
Hello,

StaROI on 2019-05-12 said:

Helenlc on 2019-05-12 said:

Banana9ieue on 2019-05-13 said:
Do you know how you'll get all your belongings over to the US, or a good shipping company? I'm taking as much as I can on the aeroplane but I don't know how I'll get the rest shipped over there.
Helenlc on 2019-05-13 said:
I have all my furniture / clothing and personal items being shipped out... they will be picked up a week today and will be delivered direct to my house in the us about 15days. Im taking as little as possible on the plane. Im using 1st move international who have been amazing in arranging everything including picking up everything and dropping direct to the house

Helenlc on 2019-05-16 said:
They said 10 days... but im in AP at the moment.... and its only been 7 days since the interview
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-16 said:
Why in AP if I may ask? Thank you.
Helenlc on 2019-05-16 said:

Helenlc on 2019-05-16 said:
Ok we are out of AP and its been issued...
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-22 said:
Hi! I got approved today. Did you receive your visa yet? How soon after you got approved did the status change, and where did you check the status? Also, do you know if when the visa is delivered to your address if you have to show ID and sign for it?
Thank you so much for your help!
Helenlc on 2019-05-22 said:
Hi Ella!
My visa arrived on Monday so 11 days after my interview.... you can check on the http://ceac.state.gov it took about 3 days to change to AP then another 2 days to say issued.... When the visa is delivered yes you do have to sign and show ID... I used my driving licence and it arrived early in the morning about 7:30am
Hope this helps!
Banana9ieue on 2019-05-28 said:

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
