Received response from JAX 10/10/08 - Cancelled 2nd appointment and scheduled them together on 10/29/08. Makes sense as Victor is a minor and needs his Mother with him anyway.

Very short appt. Adjudicator was a very nice man named Henry(?). Super to talk to and just as pleasant as could be. Security dude was a jerk. Give an ass a badge and he is an ass with a badge!

Comments : USCIS failed to put Victor's name on the I-751 receipt. This led to him not being able to renew DL. Made contact w/ State Senator, US Senator, US Congressman, Governor's Office and DMV to resolve. They are working to change SAVE info policy at State level and working to ensure USCIS includes either names of derivative beneficiaries or send additional receipts. They just couldn't understand why I was upset that my stepson did not have any documentation showing he was a legal alien.

Received Victor's 10yr GC 2/14/2011

Comments : Received N-400 e-mail acceptance confirmation on 2011-11-23.

I-797 has wrong birth date on it. Handle it Monday.

12/27/2011 received confirmation of correction of Tanya's birth date on I-797.

Couple of notes on N-400 Interview: Officer requested utility bills showing both mine & Tanya's names. These items were not included on the Appt. Notice nor on the N-400 Instructions. Because I was not in the room during the interview, the officer removed and kept the original property tax statement and receipt that I had in the package for our 2011 taxes. It was then pointed out that Tanya's biometrics had expired 3 days before the interview so she had to go and get that done in another office prior to her approval. No crisis but better instructions and info on the biometrics expiring would have been nice. Looks like biometrics are needed every 14 months and can expire but will need to be taken again prior to next appt.

They will send Tanya's ceremony date via USPS.

Victor attended his interview on 9/17/2013 and passed. Awaiting oath date.

Embassy Review : Security dude was rude as hell. Jerk with a badge.

Adjudicator was fantastic. I think his name was Henry. Very connected with our case and personable. Only verified previously submitted info. Did not require any further info from my AOS package I had labored to provide but did offer me the opportunity to show him just so I would not feel it was all in vain. I declined and shook his hand and thanked him. In & out of his office in 10 minutes. Waiting room maybe 1/2 hour.

If not for the security I would give the visit a 5.
Harassment Level : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
