Consulate Review: Sweden
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 6, 2021
Embassy Review : Meh -- could have been better/could have been worse. Embassy staff reviewing documents was a bit unfriendly/did not think my husband could speak English (....he speaks English).
Embassy retained my husband's original birth certificate during administrative processing (for 6+ weeks) -- visa was ultimately approved, after I contacted the embassy for an update.
Rating : Poor

POE Review: Minneapolis/St Paul
Event Description
Entry Date : 2020-12-16
Embassy Review : My husband (LPR) and I (US Citizen) entered together. The process was smooth and every officer we interacted with was friendly, although we did have to wait approximately 45 minutes in secondary inspection (which was no problem for us). Ultimately, my husband was asked to provide a US address and US phone number. We asked questions about being able to travel before receiving the physical green card -- the officer was helpful and friendly with his responses. All in all, a very positive experience.
Harassment Level : Low

Congratulations on receiving an interview date! Did you expedite your case?

Thanks! We did not request to be expedited, however that is what happened...after our case sat at the NVC for months, and 2 months after we were documentarily qualified, we were contacted to say the case was being expedited.

Halo -- selamat kamu sudah approval di NVC. Kita menunggu selama dua bulan sampai mereka memberi interview appointment. Tapi kita transferred Embassy dari Indonesia ke Sweden karena kita tinggal di Europe sekarang (interview bukan di Indonesia). Suamiku akan pergi ke Embassy (di Sweden) hari Jumat...dia DQ di bulan Mei.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
