Consulate Review: Moscow, Russia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 11, 2020
Embassy Review : We planned to stay in the Moscow area for one week to complete the medical exam as well as the interview. Medical went smoothly, results were sent from IOM to the embassy direct, and took about one hour from start to finish. The interview was straight forward, enter through security and passport check, go to appropriate window for document reviews, and wait for interview. Questions asked: how did you meet and where were you married? What does your husband do for work? Asked about money transfers to family members send from states. Received visa via Pony Express two weeks after the interview.
Rating : Very Good

Hello - how long did it take for the embassy to schedule your interview once you got NVC's approval? Did you get an RFE from the NVC? Thanks!

It took around a month and a half from the time the case was approved by NVC to the time we were sent our interview date. And another month until the actual interview. No RFE she was approved that day and sent her visa the following week by pony express!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
