What was your RFE??

I had to re-send birth certificates of both my husband and me. I sent them around the last week of July / early August.

May I know the reason why you sent RFE reply so late?? Did you get RFE letter in mail very late?? Is that so... Even it's been 20 days today I am waiting for RFE letter.
Chantiago on 2019-09-24 said:
Of course! I'm Korean so the birth certificate wasn't in English. I had to get them officially translated and put an apostille on it so it took a bit longer. Plus, my husband was out of town when we got the RFE so he couldn't send the documents right away so there was a minor delay. I've heard that the times the RFEs get approved differs from each service center. And yes it did take some time for us to receive the actual RFE letter. I think it took us around 20 days or so too. Don't worry! You'll be receiving it soon and if you don't, make sure to submit a form saying you didn't.

Thank you for your reply. Wait is sometimes frustrating. But talking with people like you gives a hope. I pray you get to the process smoothly. All is up to God.

One more question... Did you too submit form of request for RFE letter. Or else you waited??
Chantiago on 2019-09-25 said:
Ah, I did send for another request for the RFE and I ended up with two. But it wasn't necessary. I think it would be better if you request for it If it doesn't come within 30 days.

Many blessings to you, too! God bless <3

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
