Hubby arrived early but was told to come back at 7:30 (interview time 8am). After entering, he was told to take out his interview letter. Then was told to take out all the original civil documents and his passport and keep it in hand. He waited and a staff asked to see his documents again and was told to wait. He was called again to do his fingerprints and then sat down. Waited some more and the officer who called him for his fingerprint called him again to take his interview. Hubby greeted him in English and the CO greeted him in Bangla. He started with his questions.
Who is petitioning for you?
What is her name?
Her date of birth?
Where does she work?
When did you get married?
Where did you guys go for your honeymoon? (Wanted to see pictures so hubby gave it to him)
Did she come back to Bangladesh again?
How did she come to America?
What is your fathers name?
What is your mothers name?
Wanted to see pictures so hubby gave it to him. He went through all the pictures and kept saying wow, beautiful, nice.
Asked who is this lady in one of our wedding photos.
Was this an arrange marriage?
Then said okay your visa is approved. Wait 2 weeks for an email to pick up passport. You can go home now.
Hubby said some of the questions were in Bangla and some in English because the CO knew both languages. Hubby said he was pleased with the CO and didn’t even seem like it was an interview, seemed more like he was having a basic conversation with someone. He was very satisfied with his interview visit.
Only asked to see his civil documents and photos. None of my financial documents or anything.
October 22nd 2019- Interview
October 23rd 2019- Status changed from AP to Issued
October 24th 2019- Passport pickup email received.
When picking up his passport he did not receive a yellow packet. US Embassy of Dhaka now sends them electronically and is automatically available at POE for customs officer.
Alhamdulilah a year long journey came to an end. Next is booking tickets to America and we can officially start our lives together. Best of luck to those who are waiting.

Timeline Comments: 16Hey Naz!
What do you mean "I just uploaded page 1-8 instead of 1-10 so the last two pages were needed. "
So par I know, you have to uploaded all of pages even those are blank. What was those two page?
Please keep update because I'm behind you and we are on the same boat.

Hey Naz!
I received an email from NVC asking for AOS and IV fees but they didn't ask for DS-261 (Choose an Agent). When did you received DS-261 information.By the way I already paid all my fees .
Naz94 on 2019-05-12 said: The DS-261 is the immigrant visa application. They don’t do choose an agent anymore because they get the email addresses from the original petition. Once fees are cleared then you can start with filling out the DS-261 form and then submitting all the documents.
Hey, how did you receive your NVC notification? Email or letter, I’ve been waiting 2 weeks since my NOA2
Naz94 on 2019-06-26 said: It took me 6 weeks to get my invoice number and case number for NVC. I got an email notification with all that information.
Oh ok thank you, I’ll have to be a little patient. Best of luck on your journey, hope things move quick for you.

Naz94 on 2019-07-14 said: Same CC. Usually IL is about a month from CC for BD embassy but I guess for summer and Eid holidays there is a delay. Just waiting now. Best of luck.
RJA on 2019-07-14 said: Same to you. I’m hoping to go back home next month, but it’s frustrating to do anything not having an IL.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
