For the concern and questions, we started our AOS journey about a year late due to a misunderstanding of the petitioner and financial dilemma. Married Sep 2019, filed AOS Aug 2020. No matter what situation arise, always follow the next steps asap don't wait. Anyways we filed I-485(AOS) I-765(EAD) and I-131(AP) in one package and paid the one fee $1225 (2020) for it all. |

Originally Filed Aug 2020 with I-485 and I-131 but submitted out of date I-765 by mistake so it got rejected. Refiled I-765 with copy of accepted letter of
I-485 so the fee will still be waived. Notice of Dec 2020 and with a IOE receipt # instead of a MSC #. Requested for expedite on 3/22/21 because had job interview. File has been in review since bio date 2/16/21. Response was application is already being reviewed so expedite was closed. As of 4/7/21 been waiting for 5-1/2 months. *Update* EAD not needed anymore, was approved for Green Card 6/7/21 |

Interview was very corporate casual / standard procedures easy to follow.
Arrive not to early maybe like 10 minutes or so because guard won't let you in. No electronics so phones off, once inside you give all your documents to admin person and they review everything. Very neatural staff just keep pleasant, then you will sit in waiting room to wait to be interviewed by CO. They'll have you read and acknowledge some forms and pamphlet. You'll get called to up to show proof of relationship and on going communication then answer some questions.
1. How long been talking together?
2. Where will you live?
3. When is the wedding & where and who will come.
4. Where does petitioner work?
5. How did you guys meet?
CO said okay great now all we need is petitioners tax transcript which I forget to send in. So we got place on adminstrative processing. I emailed the embassy my 2018 tax transcript and in 2 business days the Visa was approved 😊. Over all it was alright

Timeline Comments: 3 X & R on 2019-03-29 said: Speedy approval! Not sure it was from my expedite request from January but that got denied. Any how under 100 days is amazingly fast. Good luck to the other December / Indonesia petitions. 😊
X & R on 2019-04-02 said: I hired rapid Visa to help me prepare my petition. It took a whole month before it was ready but the effort and time was worth it. The staff at rapid visa are on it & made sure a beat was not missed.
X & R on 2020-10-06 said: AOS we successfully built on our own and mailed it off on 8/29/2020. Year late but we'll get there 😃
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
