My interview was for 7:00am, got there 5:30am, super early, but there was already a crowd there, we all stood there waiting. At about 6:30 we were searched and divided into immigrant and non immigrant queue, here we were asked to open up all envelopes, medical included. We went inside, had two more security checks. We got to a table, my appointment letter was checked, a number written on it, a paper was attached to the back of my passport and a slip was given to be filled later. We were directed from there to another building just across. We got to another security check, took out our watches, belts and shoes, went through a scanner, just like in airports. From there we were directed to the main building. I filled the slip and was called to a window, my passport was collected, appointment confirmation, medical and police report, DS 160, original birth certificate and photocopy, tax, w2, affidavit of support and the slip were collected too. Appointment confirmation and original birth certificate was given back. Was called to another window for fingerprinting and signed a form. Then the real wait began, at this point I was feeling really nervous. Somehow the elderly ones and women with kids were called first. An elderly lady I had helped fill out her slip was approved, she hugged me and said some nice words of prayer to me, all tension in me disappeared ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.
Finally my turn, the CO was a nice looking lady
Me: Good morning
Her: Good morning
She asked me to raise my right hand and I did the oath thing. The questions asked were
My relationship with the petitioner
If I've been married or have a child
When and how we met
Who proposed and how, she said to give her details
Why I accepted the proposal
Other times he's visited
Wedding plans
Tell me about the petitioner
Asked for pictures, I had only 4
All of these were done in less than 5 minutes. She said she'll approve me, picked up the form i had signed and told me what it meant, gave me a paper for help in case of domestic violence and a paper with the address of the dhl office for pickup. She told me it would be ready in 5 to 7 days and I will be notified. And that was it.
I left there some minutes past 11
The COs are there to approve you. Know your partner and be confident

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
