Hi, I just received the email that NVC will forward the petition to Guangzhou embassy on 5/21. Do I start DS-160 application online now? Or do I wait until P3 package? How do I schedule an interview? What do I next? And next .....Thanks

Hi, if you have the case number (GUZ####) then you can begin the DS-160, otherwise you wont have all the necessary information. Also, DS-160 doesn't take that long and isn't required until you are ready to schedule the interview. P3 will def include this along with other items you need to print/fill in and send back. P4 will include instructions on the medical and other requirements like the birth certificate, police record, etc. I'd recommend to try to get the birth certificate and police records, they seem to give people the most trouble. Also, get the medical done. I had to push my interview date back because I did not have the medical done and am having issues trying to secure a police record.

Hi thank you so much for your response. When did you schedule your medical and immunization shots? If I schedule 1 week before interview, is that enough time? Did you have to go back to get 2nd immunization shot? Thank you.

you should schedule at least a week before the interview as the paperwork (in shanghai) took 5 business days to get returned, and they do not mail, so you have to go and pick it up. Did not have to go back for a 2nd immunization, just one round of shots

Congrats!! What kind of questions did he/she ask? Can you share your experience? Did you provide 2018 1040 tax return or the past 3yr tax return? Did you bring the original i134 form? Is copy ok? Thank you 🙏

Thanks, but as we know, nothing is definite until we have our passport with visa on hand. In terms of questions, the interviewer only asked about 5 questions, whats her name, my name, where do i live, is she part of the communist party, and if she had any pictures. We had put together some additional pictures of trips we had taken since the original 129f submission which she provided. I put together the 134 that included my 2018 tax return, employer verification, mortgage. As I am in the states, i just emailed her a scanned copy with my signature. They took this once she entered the embassy. They then took the medical forms.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
