Embassy Review : |
Upon entry had to show documentation for appointment that day, then pass through metal detector. Had to wait on one side of the large waiting area to show appointment documentation and ID then was asked to set on other side of large waiting room to be called back by officer. Arrived approximately 30 mins early and waited approximately 1 hour past interview time until called back. Two of us (immigrant and spouse) went everywhere together, including into the interview room with the officer. We were not asked to remove clothing or electronic devices. Upon entry into officer room (normal looking office) we were sworn in by officer. Officer reviewed our AoS documentation (page by page, question by question). Officer paraphrased the questions to reduce time and changed some answers on the documentation to be the most upto date information. After completing the AoS documentation review we provided proof of relationship such as pictures, joint bank & credit card accounts, rental agreements, insurance documents that were all copied and recorded by officer. Officer explained process for re-applying for green card and citizenship in the future when the time came and congratulated us on the AoS completion. The officer did not keep any original documentation or photos we brought to the interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
