I see that you have listed your NOI-2 as March 22, 2019. Can you please correct this for everyone. Also, your NVC is listed as March 26, 2019. Neither of these dates have passed yet, so there must be an error that needs to be corrected. Hoping it is a simple typo. Good luck.

Hi, As John & Mei have previously asked, can you please adjust the dates you have entered for your NOA2 and NVC. As you’ve entered dates that haven’t happened yet the system has allocated you an inaccurate processing time, which will also be adjusting other users timeline dates with similar forms and/or processing centers. Thank you! :) Jesse :)

Hi, Short answer is NO. NVC is not an opaque entity to me. We are in the last step, waiting for that glorious e-mail with an interview date. I was hoping to have everyone home in the states to enjoy a summer and weeks at a YMCA day camp to develop their English skills before school began in September. Now, I am starting to worry just about getting them home before the start of the school year and trying to deal with another summer apart. USCIS mailed the packages over to NVC on 03/20/2019 and they arrived there on 04/23/2019. It must be a long walk from MD to NH. We were able to turn around things and have everything submitted by 05/09/2019, only to hear again from them on 06/03/2019 that some of the scans for the kids certified birth certificates were not clear enough. We resolved that in less than a day and resubmitted. So, we have been what is known as "Documentarily Qualified" since 06/03/2019. We are waiting for that special letter with the interview date. I did some more searching in the NVC web site and found a document that describes the role of NVC in this process. Two paragraphs in particular come to my attention: "There will likely be several weeks between becoming “documentarily qualified” and receiving a visa interview appointment. NVC schedules interviews on a monthly basis. We receive each embassy’s list of available appointment dates and times, and we fill them in the order that cases became documentarily qualified, as long as there is an available visa number. (There is a maximum number of visas the U.S. can approve each year in some visa categories, so there may be a delay between completing your application and being eligible for an interview if you are in one of these categories.) Since we work only one month at a time, we cannot predict when a case will be scheduled. We suggest waiting at least 90 days from notice that your case is 'documentarily qualified' before calling." So, the comment regarding the '90 days' is disturbing enough to rain on my summer plans. Hard to make plans sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for this final e-mail. I will post updates on the time line as the come available. John

Still waiting and hoping and getting her very nervous with Hong Kong issues flaring up. I am certain that I will not have everyone home in time for the start of the coming school year at this point. So, the transition to the USA for everyone is going to be just that more chaotic. All of the on-line chatter seems to be on the USCIS slowdown. But, that has not been my experience. My experience has been with the NVC slowing down the process by requesting 'better' scans of pdf files that: (a) they accepted as being adequate for the other applications and (b) already should have copied from the USCIS. Once they request a new copy, the application seems to be sent back to the end of the line, like a good-old-fashion "Department of Motor Vehicle" process, except this time the wait in the line is nearly a month. Anyways, we have been told that all of the required documents for al of the applications are now accepted and have been waiting for the interview appointment. Needless to say we have been scrambling to prepare for a crazy coming school year. Hoping and praying.

Hi guys! Did you ever receive your interview date?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
