As expected, the interview was by far the easiest part of this whole journey! On entry (having remembered reading on here not to wait in the queue in the lobby and go straight to the desk) I skipped the queue and got sent straight up to the waiting room. I was seen very quickly after arriving by the man who would take my paperwork. He took my appointment confirmation, passport, US pictures, birth certificate, police certificate from the U.K. and Spain, i134, employment verification and pay stubs.
I sat back down and this wait took over an hour but I believe the system went down today so that explains it! Once I finally got to my actual interview I spoke with the officer for less than a minute and he told me I was approved and to expect my visa within the week! |

Timeline Comments: 8Did you meet your fiancee online?
Hey, no we worked together at a summer camp :)
Hi, how did you find out that the NVC had received your case? Did you have to call them?
Yeah, we called March 27 and they had received it and gave us our case number
Hello, where did you find the appointment letter to print out? Thank you! :)
Do you mean the appointment confirmation? When you make the appointment online it sends you an email that is your confirmation email and it says on it 'print these instructions and bring them to your interview'
Hi! I got approved today. How soon after you got approved did the status change, and where did you check the status? Also, do you know if when the visa is delivered to your address if you have to show ID and sign for it? Thank you so much for your help!
Did DX tell you what time of day they would deliver it? How soon did they let you know the time? :)
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
