The interview experience was overall positive. Phone and personal belongings don't go in. Lady was nice but got to the point, she wanted to know a lot of stuff in detail. Some of the questions asked were:
- where did you meet your fiancé? (detailed)
- where does he live?
- when and where is your wedding?
- what does he do for living? (details such as what are the tasks of that position, what city? what stores are in the surrodings of the building?)
- what were you doing in the US on prior trips? (detailed)
She said i was all set and I’d get my passport in the mail in 1-2 weeks.
PS: don’t buy the 60€ chronopost envelope. I went to the La Poste office near the Embassy. Lady at the Embassy gave me back the foam and said there was no need for that specific type.
Also if you are with your fiancé make sure you don’t bring any kind of luggage. He had to stay outside with it and couldn’t come in with me. That part sucked. |

Our experience was nothing but positive and great! We didn’t have to wait long to get called in. The officer was very nice and very personable. The interview took about 45 minutes and the questions were very straight to the point. He was nice to the point he said “I will have to ask you some questions and some of them might sound awkward and kind of ridiculous but just be honest and be yourself†so apart from the usual “Have you ever or do you plan to commit any kind of crime in the US†he wanted to see our wedding pictures and ask me who were some of the people in the pictures with us. He ask my husband my parents name and the city I lived in in Portugal. He asked how did we met, got engaged, who proposed and how. And this was pretty much it. 😉😀 |

Timeline Comments: 5how did you get EAD/AP so fast??
Ds2 on 2019-09-04 said: Did you expedite your EAD/AP? IF yes, how?
Yes I did. Just follow the threads about it here on VJ. They are very helpful. Also, go to USCIS website and do the reading about how to do require your expedite.

Was your interview in Lawrence or Boston?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
