My experience was really positive.
I want that day just half hour before my interview appoiment, I did all the security check in time. Being in the waiting area was normal, even get to know one girl in the same process who also was an user here in visajourney we chat most of the time there and it made everything very convenient, it was like stress relief. I did the first part, I gave then my info and the documents they ask for (at that time I did not have with me my medical results) then I got called again and this time it was the real interview with the consul, she was really nice and I did prefer to talk to her in English it was easier to understand her, I just talk to her about my fiancé, she just asked me some question about him after that and checked to our photos and the again asked me about the dates of our meetings and I answered her everything. Then she gave me a blue paper because of my medical result couldn't be aviable by the time of the interview and it was the instructions to summit the results once I got them.
After my interview appointment I went to Bogota to meet with my fiancé and it was supposed for me to go back to Caracas on the 01/25/19, day when my medical results was ready to send them to the embassy, I was just arriving Caracas when the US embassy in Caracas was closed and not essential personnel was immediately evacuated. My fiancé got my case transfer for the US embassy in Bogota-Colombia. |

Timeline Comments: 8Hi! How did your interview go? I imagine it was approved. Congrats on advance.
Hey are you still waiting for your GC?
Hi Michaela, yes I’m still waiting. It’s been more than 90 days since the last update so when it pass 75 days I called USCIS and ask for an inquiry so I have a tier 1 and I’m still waiting for the response till day 30. So let’s see what’s going to happen the last 10 days of the 30 days they got to respond.
Wishing the best for you, we are waiting for an interview there as well, but not as long as you. Good luck!
Thank you. They already scheduled my interview appointment and right now I’m waiting for the letter and get to know the appointment date, if it doesn’t come in the next couple of days I will call to ask about the appointment date. How is yours going?
Oh wow, it looks like you’ve faced difficulty through this entire process with Admin review RFE and delays. I hope that it goes smoothly here on for you. We are still waiting for an interview but we applied a couple months behind you. It’s helpful to see others who had their bio around our time post their interview dates. Makes me hopeful ours will come soon. I will be so glad when this part is over.
Congratulations on your approval! So happy to see the update! How was the interview?
Thanks!
It wasn’t even an interview, it was more like a conversation very nice and satisfactory. The officer just ask my fiancé about my parents and review with me the complete form so he could corroborate the info provided, he didn’t have anything bad to say he was very profesional and helpful because he answer my questions, and at the end he said that we did a great job with our paperwork and stuff that he will recommend the approval of the petition. There’s nothing to be stressed about.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
