In the Ankara Consulate website, you can find instructions and all the paperwork they require for a K3. You can fill these out as soon as your 129 is approved, just wait till you get your case # from NVC. Append that to the cover letter that's in those K3 instructions. You can have your spouse go for the medical exam as soon as you know your case #. Then mail all the required paperwork about a week after the day NVC says they'll be sending everything to Ankara.
At our interview, they requested W-2s and my wifes old passport which she didn't have with her, so we mailed those, which is why it took 9 days to get the visa delivered. |

I was with my wife during the POE. The officer first looked at my passport and scanned it, then took the sealed envelope, opened it, but barely looked at anything. Stamped the arrival date and the word K-3 on the I-94. Took all of 2 minutes to pass through. |

Case was transferred from MSC to CSC but then transferred back. At our interview they said they didn't have the medical that wife brought over as part of sealed package during POE. We had to send the interviewer another medical. Wrote a letter along with the medical saying since we had to spend money on another medical, please help us by either getting us a 10 year card or wait until August 2008 to approve which would be our 2 year anniversary so we would've gotten 10 year. No luck obviously. |

Biometrics appointment took forever since they didn't automatically reschedule it after USCIS office was closed due to a snowstorm on the original appointment date. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
