Embassy Review : |
I found the interview much easier than I had anticipated - mostly due to reading other people’s reviews. The lifts to level 10 are easy enough to find. The security process was fine. I showed up at 10.30am for my 11am interview and was let in. I was the only one going up in the lift so I didn’t have to race anyone out to get a ticket from the machine. I sat and waited until my number was called, went over and they collected my fingerprints, took my documents and told me to sit back down and listen for my number. I heard a few people denied for financial reasons while I was waiting, which was a little unsettling so I stopped listening to other people’s interviews. I was off in my own little world when I heard my name called and I didn’t hear which counter I was supposed to go to as I was expecting to hear my number called, not my name. I initially went to the wrong one, then they called my name again and I realised which one I was meant to go to. Embarrassing mistake, but the woman was super lovely about it. The questions were easy:
-When did we meet?
-Where does my fiancé live?
-How did the relationship progress?
-What will I do for work?
Then she said I had been approved. It was the biggest feeling of relief! I felt like I was walking on a cloud as I left. I entered the consulate just after 10.30am and left at 11.36am.
All in all, a very easy experience. I was never asked for any extra evidence, only what I had been instructed to bring. I did bring a few extra documents with me just in case they were needed, but they weren’t. Security were lovely, and the woman interviewing me was also wonderful. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
