HI! It looks like we are on a similar timeline, but we were not asked for any more information yet. The waiting is terrible, isnt it?

You should hear back soon inshallah. I was so happy to get an RFE and seems like things are moving faster than a few months ago at the service centers. Hang in there!

If you don’t mind me asking, what info did they request? And what about an rfe makes you feel like things are faster? We got our first noa on Monday and I’m sooooo nervous

We have yet to receive a RFE..I think people like that because they know its being processed. We got our first NOA back in April and so we are hoping that we hear something by next week(hopefully a second NOA and not a RFE). I personally would be bummed out if I got a request for evidence, since it took 2 months to gather everything and put it together. Where are you and your fiance located? I am in Seattle and he is in Marrakesh.

@MAMR they requested a court letter since I had a large fine on a traffic violation from 17 years ago so i answered yes to that question. The records of it were destroyed and i dont have that much memory of it anyways so it wasnt that hard to put what they wanted together. The USCIS website shows 5.5-7.5 months so hearing from them after 3.5 months made us happy since they looked it over. The turn around time after the RFE seems fast so hopefully we get the NOA 2 soon.

@khalidanddawn yeah I was just so happy to see an RFE. They looked over the case which is great. My fiance is from taounate an hour and a half north of fes and I am in san diego. I used to live half an hour north of him when I lived in morocco.

San Diego! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and then Simi Valley! I have never lived in morocco and I only just visited in January but I’ve known my fiancé for 16 years online!!

Thanks for the feedback. I live on the east coast of Maryland and he lives in dakhla. I was there earlier this month and will go back in October. This is sooooo hard! I hope you hear something back soon!

We got an RFE. I’m so bummed. This puts us back probably another 4 weeks, and I won’t know what they are looking for until I get something in the mail maybe in the next few days.
MAMR on 2019-07-30 said:
Oh no! I’m so sorry. Hopefully it won’t be too difficult

There is a fb group for the Moroccan consulate? Or one for visas in general?
CorBkh on 2019-09-22 said:

@MAMR it was a male american CO. The interview went so well. Just a lot of waiting before being seen. Just relax and be truthful during the interview. I made sure he was over prepared with everything which wasnt at all asked for except for photos but i was glad he had it all. Wishing you all the best!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
