I had my appointment last thursday at 1pm. I got there super early like 11:40 am and then the security guard said I should go to the mall and get some refreshments haha. So I came back at about 12 :20 and there were only two couples lined up on the benches. Met some lovely people going through same or similar processes. We were then called to line up and the man checked out names and photos to make sure they are the right size. Then off we went through security and then through to the main building. Everything honestly went by so fast, we filled out a small piece of paper with our contact info and then went to go sit down and wait for our number to be called. I was number 3. I chatted to some people while we waited as I was a little nervous. About 5 min later I got called to the first window where I met a lovely SA lady who asked me for all my documents and fingerprints:
- DS 160
- PCC - she kept
- UBC - gave back but kept a copy
- passport photos
- passport
- I 134 plus all supporting documents - last 3 years tax transcripts
- proof of payment
- proof of our relationship - I had letters, emails, skype, fb, whatsapp messages and photos from after sending out our 129f back in August 2018.
- LOI from both of us
She then asked if I wanted to give anything else so I was checking my file if I had missed anything and then she said you've got enough here! I then sat down again and not even 5 min later I was called to the next counter to meet a lovely American lady. She only asked a few questions after you swear to an oath:
What is his name?
Where does he live?
Where will y'all live?
When do you plan to get married?
What does he do?
Will he be supporting you?
some more fingerprints, then she said okay I will be approving you later today, congratulations have a nice day, good bye!!
THAT WAS IT!
I think she was ready to be done with the day.
If you are prepared, you have nothing to worry about!!! Thank you everyone on visa journey!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
