Event Description

Embassy Review : Went through the normal protocols of security. Then went inside the embassy and waited for probably 5-6 hours? My appointment was 6:30. 2 COs were interviewing us immigrants. One was a white and the other was an Asian. The Asian guy already denied 2 people due to them not knowing their fiancés well. 2 were told to bring additional documents. The non- immigrants interviews were done and I could say only 6 people were given. About 10 minutes, I could see the Asian guy checking my file. Called my number and interview goes thus;

Who is petitioning for you.
When did you meet.
Where did you meet.
How did you meet.
Was she previously married?
What date was her divorce?
How many kids?
How long has she been at her current job?
Does she stay in a house or apartment?
How much is her monthly salary?
How old is she?
How old am I?
How old are her kids?
How many times she visited me?
When is she going back?

After typing and all bragado. Man said all looks fine, gave me 2 papers, one for pick up and rights as a spouse.

Ran out cos my fiancée was out waiting for me and she was tired. Kissed her 10 times.

My advice, please know the important dates. These people are ready to approve, interview is just mere questioning.

Good afternoon bro, pls I have a quick question. I saw 2 forms at travel.state.gov website and dont know if K1 visa applicants are supposed to fill them. They are DS-156 and DS-156k.

Congrats bro!!! I get my passport back (via courier) on this Tuesday coming due only to the fact that I did not get my medical done before travelling to the island where my interview (and both the approved ddoctor as well Embassy) was ahead of time. My lab results took about a week to be forwarded to the Embassy. I was trying to make one trip only. Also, two holidays (today amd Monday) prevent me from getting it before Tuesday.I know we were in cue around the same time. Again congrats!

Congrats my man@brocknrolle. Glad we got approved at same time. Wait is finally over!

Bro, congratulations on your approval. Quick question: Can I fill my DS 160, book an interview and go for my medicals if I get my case number or do I have to wait till the consulate sends me an email. I don't want my interview date to be too far. Thanks

Hi at UN. You can do that once your case has been sent down to Lagos. But you can fill you ds-160 now but fine submit. Medicals is a walk in appointment. Wish you good luck.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
