I have expedited the process for AP based on a family emergency. Thirteen days after I have submitted a request, I received an email confirming that my application was approved and "I should receive my authorization card very soon". A day after that, the status on EAD changed to "New Card is Being Produced" and then to "Case Was Approved" on both EAD and AP. |

Embassy Review : |
Just make sure you're on time. No reason to show up too early - they let people come into the embassy according to their appointment time. When you're entering the building, they ask if you have a cell phone with you. If so, they trade it for the number. You can trade it again once you're leaving.
First, I talked to more of an "office lady", who asked me for all the documents I brought. I'd say, give them what they ask for first. I had A LOT of documents and proofs (way too much) and brought some additional tax paperwork that I was going to show only in case they ask for it. BUT the lady I talked to saw it when I was taking the rest of the papers out of the folder and asked for it immediately. :P She also asked me some basic questions about my fiance (now my husband ) and told me to wait with other people in a line (I got a number). Take a sit and wait patiently. I waited for 2.5 hrs.
When it was finally my turn, a very nice consul lady told me to make it more official and swear that all I say is true. Again, she asked me some basic questions about my fiance (how did we meet, where does he work) and that was it. Then she said: congratulations, you have been granted a visa. Around 4 hours in the queues in total and 5 minutes of talking to the Embassy representatives. |

Timeline Comments: 1Hej,
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
