I was in Ciudad Juarez the whole time waiting for the visa notification. Some people go back to their cities to wait for visa, but I decided to take the chances and since all my clothes and my car was already in my fiance's home, I just had couple of luggage with me. 2 days after interview the email arrived, my visa was ready! we finished breakfast and I ran to ASC center, got my K1 visa, by the way, my fiance had just gotten with me the night before, he flew to meet me there, so we checked out the hotel and went immediately to the border at El Paso, TX .... It was a very happy day!!! we got tickets to go to San Diego, CA and spend a very happy weekend :) :) |

US CIS Local Office ReviewsTimeline Comments: 6hi, did u have to do a waiver for your k1 visa? due ti the 212(a)(7)(A)(i)(I)?
Hello, no I didn’t have to do waiver because it is a voluntary withdraw, I wasn’t deported or removed in accordance to 212 (a)(7)(a). I attended my appointment for the fiancé visa 2 months after that and I explained that I was visiting my fiancé very often and never over stayed. Then at the green card appointment I said the same and it was ok .
oh okay. I am at the interview stage but due to covid it has been delayed. Did they write on your passport as well CFT217.a(a)(1)? or they didnt?
They didn’t , they just took away my tourist visa and filled out a form and my file has the note up to date. Most likely they will remind me again at my green card renewal.
By the way, if you get a new passport the note will not be there , but in the interview they will ask you again what happened , if they ask , they might not
yeah, i thought about that. Did you get a new passport? I appreciate your responses. Thank you so much
No I didn't because my passport didn´t have any note, I renewed it a few months ago when it expired.
Don't worry just go to the interview and explained what happened. If you didn't stay more than permitted it will be no much problem.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
