Consulate Review: Nigeria Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : June 13, 2019 Embassy Review : I got to the Consulate at 4:50am. Around 7am or thereabout, We were divided into Immigrants and Non Immigrants. Went through lots of security checks and we started waiting. It was no joke, i almost sat on the floor, my legs were aching. They first attended to people above 70 and women with kids. It was a nice gesture but i was tired of standing. There were 2 COs, a white man and a black man. Honestly, i can’t tell you who was more lenient because they both denied people. It was a tough one. I was called to window 18, thought they wanted a document, only to realize that a third CO had been added. A beautiful African American lady, asked me to raise my right hand and swear. Then she asked the following Who is calling? When did you meet? When did he propose? How many times has he been to Nigeria? I answered and she asked for photos, told me to explain what was happening in like 4 different photos. Then she said your visa is approved, gave me the white paper and told me when to pick up my passport. Rating : Very Good
