Embassy Review : |
Accompanied my Thai fiancee on her entry with her new K1. The officer in the normal visitor line opened her packet, took fingerprints, and did not even ask either of us a single question. We checked the "bringing food" box on the customs form as we had various Thai groceries, and the officer didn't ask about these either. It was so quick they had not even started unloading bags when we got to baggage claim! |

Embassy Review : |
Interviewer was friendly, but had an accent to his English which made is harder for the wife to understand. He was a little concerned that I didn't have utility bills or something which both our names on it; fortunately I did have her name as an authorized user on a credit card, which he took. We weren't asked any questions about our home life, nothing to verify we were really together, just silly questions like "Do you plan to practice polygamy in the US", "Have you been a member of the communist party", "Do you plan to engage in prostitution". I had to translate the questions for the wife, who's English is OK but doesn't know words like "Communist", "Polygamy" and "Prostitution", which was somewhat humorous. We left with a not-so-good feeling, I was expecting to get a request for more documents, but our approval came 3 days later. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
