Comments : Nebraska then sent to California Service Center is so slow! Things move much faster at NVC and Kiev Embassy. Scheduled for interview Feb 21, then received email 2 days prior cancelling it saying that due to unforseen circumstances with embassy construction or security, your interview has been rescheduled to March 13, 2007. More delays by Grand old USA government. Interview was piece of cake, she got to be let in early since she was K1(so the man outside told her), waited about hour or so then went to window gave documents then waited another hour and then man in room interviewed her, only asked two questions - "How we met" and "when do you plan to leave after you get K1". Then he told her to go to courier and pay for service and he took her passport and papers. She is fluent in English so she interviewed in English, and applied in English so it went fast. She asked them is that all, and man said yes. And she asked do I get my K1 and he smiled and said yes congratulations. She asked about getting copies of her medical records and vaccinations made, he agreed to let her but she would have to come back in again and reapply that same day so she did not and went on, we will deal with it later in USA somehow, all that is supposed to be in that sealed brown envelope she gives to POE officer who is supposed to send on in to Chicago office so we shall see later this summer.
MARCH 13, 2007 - K1 GRANTED by Kiev Embassy at 9 am. :) Received by FEDEX March 21, 2007 - Passport with K1 visa stamp and brown envelope and instructions.

Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Minneapolis/St Paul
POE Date : 2007-05-01
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : No
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Gave her a web address where she is supposed to log in or sign in on the internet and apply or receive EAD, who knows will check on it and post later, have not had time to look at it yet.
POE was in Minneapolis-St Paul. No problems going through gate there, was easy.

Approved : Yes
Got I551 Stamp : No
Greencard Received: 2007-12-18
Comments : AOS application Case transferred to California Service Center on October 17, 2007.

AOS GREEN CARD approved November 21, 2007 without any interview, no I551 Stamp, card production to be completed and mailed within 60 days! We did not file for AP or EAD, total waste of time and money for they arrive at about the same time as Green Card!

NOA Date : 2009-08-25
RFE(s) :
Bio. Appt. : 2009-09-21
Interview Date :
Approval / Denial Date : 2009-12-11
Approved : Yes
Got I551 Stamp : No
Green Card Received : 2009-12-21
Comments : Took 113 days or about 3.76 month this time, much longer than the 2 yr GC wait. No rhyme or reason, even went in early 2 weeks to take biometric. Just slow in processing at CSC now for some reason, more of the same process or documents from last time 2 yrs ago for 2 yr GC, remember to keep all your documents with each spouse name on it so you can send it in 2 yrs later for the 10 yr GC.

Citizenship
Event Date
Service Center : Phoenix AZ Lockbox
CIS Office : Saint Louis MO
Date Filed : 2010-08-17
NOA Date : 2010-08-24
Bio. Appt. : 2010-09-21
Interview Date : 2010-11-23
Approved : Yes
Oath Ceremony : 2011-01-07
Comments : Done, finished, over and out of here! This was the easiest part of the whole process. Took a little over three months exact from time filed to get N400 interview, which was only 5-10 minutes total, then another month and half wait for the citizenship oath ceremony which USCIS in STL, MO makes into a 3 hour ceremony when it should only be 1 hour at most, typical bureacracy of USCIS. No more USCIS in our lives! Good riddance. And no more morons to look at posting on VJ to have to deal with.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
