Have you heard anything back from USCIS?
NinPran on 2019-12-20 said:
Not a word. Starting to worry a little.
IsItLekker on 2019-12-20 said:
I wouldn't worry yet... the estimated time on VJ is often faster than the time supplied by the service center on the government website. If you think you should have heard back by now, you can always call, I guess. Good luck! You should get something any day now! ^_^

Did you guys submit your RFE yet?
NinPran on 2020-03-08 said:
I’m hopping to submit everything by this week.

I am in the same situation as you are right now! If you don't mind me asking, what did they ask you for the RFE; more proofs about marriage ?
NinPran on 2020-03-09 said:
They want me to prove that this is a bona fide marriage; including more pics, convos, phone calls. I didn’t have a wedding reception, so they want to know why. And talk about my prior divorce.
Hope this helps

Thanks for replying! I am in the same situation as you, I didn't have a wedding reception either and I'm always worried about it. I wish you the best of luck though! Hopefully you will be done as soon as possible! :)

Congrats on reaching DQ you guys! :D I see you guys submitted all your docs to the NVC at the same time. Did you have to submit the AOS docs before you could submit anything else? Or did the order not matter?
NinPran on 2020-05-25 said:
Thank you!!! Means a lot, it has been a very stressful process. The first step was paying the fees, once that is done you unlock the other steps which is submitting Civil Documents, then AOS. Once you submit the fees there isn’t a specific order we followed to be honest. But I was prepared and had done a lot of research regarding what docs would we need once at NVC stage, so we proceeded with filling right away. Let me know if I can help you with anything else. Good luck.

Ugh, our lawyer is stressing us out. He said he wants to mail the AOS docs first and then after they get approved, submit the DS260... and I have been watching everyone else going through this and it looks like it takes little to no time at all if you just submit everything at once altogether online. Did they ever ask you to re-upload anything?
NinPran on 2020-05-25 said:
I work for a law firm and that’s basically a cover their ass excuse. Unless your lawyers office is not up to date with technology there is not point of mail this stuff in. It’s just waste of time.
NVC doesn’t ask you to submit a certain document. But what it say there with red ink is, they won’t check your documents until every single one
I could be wrong but this is what I noticed at NVC. You can not upload AOS if you don’t pay your feed and then fill out DS260. What I did is, paid fees, submit DS260, submit all civil docs for my husband, and then AOS. Everything has its own step and time make sense?
Law offices avoid DS260 As much as they can, it take a bit of time to complete, and if you are not familiar with the info you are putting in, you will need to go back and fourth checking the info and typing it it, which requires a lot of time.

Well fortunately we have DQ'ed anyway, even though we got an RFE. I ended up pushing him to submit everything online since the deadline for accepting mail in was literally only a couple of days away. They don't even take mail at all now unless they specifically request it. Hope you guys hear something soon! What is the situation with your consulate atm?

Congratulations on the NVC approval! :) That is exciting. Have you heard anything about the embassy appointment though? I have been checking the website of US embassy in Tirana and it seems like they are not processing any visas at all right now.

@kt175 Thank you.
I haven’t heard a thing yet. I recently requested for an expedite, my hopes are none to be honest. I don’t think they will approve it, but I have nothing to lose. Like you, I have checked their official page every day sometimes twice a day lol, I’m a bit frustrated because the Country is fully operating, US embassy is the only place which remains closed. I’m hoping things start moving next month.

I feel your frustration! Everything is open. Hopefully they restart next month. I saw that they started processing US passports so maybe they are resuming slowly the services?
Hopefully they will approve the expedite. If you don't mind me asking, what basis did you expedite on?

Hi
My husband and I are in albania waiting for his final interview. Just wondering if you have heard anything about your interview yet? Trying to figure our how soon we can move to the states
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
