05/11/2020- NVC Sent: Please replace this with an acceptable birth certificate from a correct issuing authority. Please use our Document Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines. (I had to call and find out about the birth certificate and was told to send a letter to U.S. Dept of State NVC) Stating I feel that I have sent in the correct document for my husbands birth certificate. We have followed the instructions on the NVC Website for his country of Nigeria. He went to the National Population of Commission Office and they provided him with the document that I uploaded.

12/17/2020- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos: After interview they gave him a letter stating needing another joint sponsor because the one we had didn't qualify.
12/23/2020- Sent a new joint sponsor
01/09/2021- Got a call from DHL office asking him to bring marriage certificate, our date of birth and data page of DS-260 (1/11/2021- Dropped them documents off at DHL)
03/08/2021- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos sent letter stating need a 3rd joint sponsor and Dates of travel to Adamawa State and purpose of travel to Adamawa State.
03/24/2021- Dropped off paper work at DHL Office
04/08/2021- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos sent letter stating current joint sponsors do not meet income guideline. Please review poverty guidelines at USCIS.gov/I-864p. Bring Passport, 3rd joint sponsor I-864, IRS Tax Return


06/22/2021- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos sent letter stating to provide an Updated medical report and we are returning your passport for collection to DHL pickup facility/GSS. When we receive your new medical report, it will be reviewed by consular officer, and you will be contacted regarding next steps in your application. (Appointment for Immigration Visa Medial Examination was scheduled for 06/23/2021)

08/03/2021- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos sent letter stating Need to provider Passport and Letter explaining relationship between you and the joint sponsor explaining why they are willing to sponsor you.
08/13/2021- U.S. Consulate General, Lagos sent letter stating Need Letter from joint sponsor explanning relationship and why supporting.

09-03-2021- IR1 Approved

We just stated they were a friend of the family and that they knew him well and knew our struggle and offered to help.
