Event Description

Embassy Review : Was fairly quick. She said the questions were the normal questions everyone reports. My name, birthday, how we met. They didn't go over any of the paperwork I already submitted on the NVC website; however, apparently we missed a section on the email where they told us to make sure and upload a new NBI and CENOMAR. They told her she had to scan and send those within an hour or reschedule. She left her phone behind (because you can't take it with you), so she had no way to contact me. But, outside there were people uploading documents for 300 php per page. So she did that.

I dropped the ball, but she got it sorted. The end result was an approval.

Have you heard anything

Sorry Mr. Clark. I didn't see this message. Nope, I haven't heard anything yet. I've been back to the Philippines 3 times within this calendar year though and I'm leaving for my 4th trip on the 3rd. Taking my kids this time. I just keep updating the unsolicited documentation on my case at USCIS. Hopefully that will help when they actually look at the documents. There was another guy who filed around the same time I did (also with a Filipina) and he was approved in February; however, I found out he expedited his process because she has a medical condition... Looks like I'll just have to wait. I'll update the timeline when I do hear something though.

We just finished our paperwork for nvc on November 24 ,have you had any updates on your interview?

The NVC portion didn't take long. Couple weeks. We're DQ, but waiting on an interview letter like everyone else since June. Doesn't look like there's a lot of forward momentum at the Manila embassy. Here's a thread I've been watching https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/796298-cr1-is-dq-current-wait-time-for-interview-in-manila/ . It stays fairly up-to-date. There's also a Manila DQ facebook group that I pay attention to. I hope that helps

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
