Event Description

Embassy Review : Interview went smoothly.
Had a 9:30 appointment, got there at 6. I joined the queue around 7 and entered the consulate at 7:30. Submitted my appointment letter to a lady just as I got in (she has a very rude colleague, pay no attention to her) joined the queue and was later called around 11 to submit my documents to a very pleasant Ghanaian lady(she informs you of all the documents you need to submit) Then it was finally time to join the queue waiting to speak to the CO. I am finally called by the CO around 11:30 (a young white lady looking like she might be in her late 20s/early 30s). Assists me in swearing the oath and the questions asked were
-how did you meet your husband
-how did your husband get to the states
-have you ever traveled outside Ghana

After answering, she said the magical words; congratulations, you've been approved. Then she goes on to hand over a printout detailing how I was to follow up on my passport/visa.
This just took about 3 or 4 mins in total.

Apart from the rude lady at the entrance the whole experience was quite pleasant. My husband and I had a lots of proof of relationship (whatsapp Chats, calls, emails,Facebook chats, vacation pictures, wedding album, etc) I believe once you have records to prove relationship, just be confident and pray a lot because it does really help. All the best to anyone with an upcoming interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
