My husband had smooth process at LAX, the immigration officers and custom officers were very professional. They explained the procedures of how to get his ssn and when his green card will arrive, custom officers did not open his luggages. He was asked if he brought any food from Ghana, he answered yes then he was told to go pickup his luggages and go home. It feels real good to finally have my husband here with me. |

Embassy Review : |
My husband arrived at the embassy at 7:00am, interview scheduled for 8:30am. At 7:30am the queue was formed, my husband showed the security person his passport and the interview letter. By 7:45am he had passed through security checkpoint and waiting in the interview area. At 9:20am my husband was called to window 10 to present his documents to a Ghanaian lady, very nice person.
Documents presented
1. 1500 copies of WhatsApp chats from Feb 2015 to Aug 2018
2. Ds-260 confirmation page
3. His Birth certificate
4. My passport biography page copy and copy of naturalization certificate
5. Tax returns 2015, 2016,2017, IRS tax transcripts 2015,2016,2017, W2 2015,2016,2017, AOS form I-864EZ
6. 800 copies of WhatsApp calls screenshots from Oct 2015 to Aug 2018
7. Money transfers
8. Life Insurance him as beneficiary confirmation page
9. Weddings Album with traditional engagement ceremony and Weddings ceremony pictures, separate albums with before marriage and after marriage pictures 36 in total
10. Greetings cards, emails 2016 to 2018
11. Police Report Certificate
12. Medical exams results
13. Marriage certificate and marriage license
14. Affidavits from my father, my mother in law and my husband's Uncle about our marriage
15. Employment letter and last two paystubs of 2018
16. Two embassy required passport pictures of my husband
At 10am hubby was called to window 8 to be interview by the CO, sworn in and both hands was fingerprinted. The CO is a white Male in his late forties or early fifties and very nice and polite. Hubby was asked seven questions
CO: Good Morning
Hubby: Good Morning Sir
CO: Have you been here before
Hubby: Yes for K1 visa
CO: Who petition for you
Hubby: My Wife my name
CO: What does she do
Hubby: Answered
CO: What do you do
Hubby: Answered
CO: Who is living with your wife now
Hubby: Her mother
CO: Where is her father
Hubby: Deceased
CO: I am sorry
CO: What job you will be doing in the US
Hubby: Answered
CO: Very good
Then CO said I am approving your visa 💃💃ðŸ™ðŸ½ðŸ™ðŸ½, kept my hubby passport and give him the white paper and told him to register for visa pickup, it will take two weeks or less. The interview took less than five minutes and it was like having a conversation. CO gave my husband all the documents he submitted earlier except the medical exams results and the police certificate. My husband saw my package I sent to USCIS and NVC, he said your package is huge. I frontloaded at the USCIS stage and again at the NVC stage. I am grateful and thankful to God, without him this will not be possible. I am beyond excited and finally I can be with my husband and start our family. I thank Visa journey members for sharing their timelines and after interview reviews it helped us a lot. I wish everyone who has interview coming up the best of luck and God bless you all.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
