Expedited EAD due to job offer:
July 2nd 2019 - Phoned USCIS to request expedite.
July 8th - Email from Tier 2 officer requesting evidence of meeting expedite criteria. I faxed the following documents to USCIS later that morning: cover letter, I-765 NOA1, job offer letter and itemised monthly budget spreadsheet I made showing our current expenses are greater than income.
July 9th - Case status (eGov) changed to card is being produced.
July 11th - Status changed to card has been mailed.
July 13th - Combo card and approval notices for I-765 and I-131 (all in separate envelopes) arrived in mail.
Took 11 days in total from calling USCIS to receiving card, including a weekend and a federal holiday (Independence Day).
I also emailed my US Representative to request assistance with expediting on the same day I first phoned USCIS, but I never received a reply.
Note also that only the online case status of my EAD changed and only on the eGov website, never my AP status despite receiving a combo card. There has never been any change to my case status on myUSCIS for any form I have ever filed (including I-129F). |

3/11/22: Received notice that previous biometrics could be reused and an appointment wasn’t needed.
11/9/22: RFE as financial evidence did not span full duration of marriage. Sent additional documents (basically everything we had or could get with both our names on since we got married). |

US CIS Local Office ReviewsTimeline Comments: 4Hi, can I ask what the process was for expediting due to a job offer? Was it that you were transferring your job to USA with same company? Had a job offer in place before entering the USA?
Really interested to know. Thank you.
Hi Missanna, I’ve now written in the comments above what my process was for expediting. I didn’t have a job offer in place when coming over, I was just very lucky and met someone at an event that was in the right industry. They emailed my resumé to their colleague and they offered me a job! Sorry, I know that’s not super helpful, but I definitely feel that getting a job here is more about meeting the right people whatever the industry.
Thank you so much for the sweet updates of your EAD expedited process Calanda! It's super duper helpful, didn't even know this is one of the possibilities. Good luck with your interview rescheduling and of cause the interview as well!
No it’s for k1 visa. Was writing in panic and must have found the wrong thread
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
