Extremely friendly interviewer. I was only asked "Tell me about your fiancé" and I was approved! Very happy with my experience. |

Timeline Comments: 6 CJD on 2019-01-29 said: Hello, I am also doing the K1 visa from NZ and following your timeline with interest as we are about a month behind and will probably have similar wait times after NOA2 (which we are hoping will be this week).
If you don't mind, I would love to know your experience with Auckland consulate, and the interview when it happens. Can you schedule the interview or do they set the date for you?
Biffa on 2019-01-29 said: Hi! I think once you send in packet 3 they send you back “the earliest available interview†which I’ve heard is about 2 weeks.
CJD on 2019-01-31 said: Also, does packet 3 include a list of things to do/bring to the interview?
I know Greenbaum was wanting that info too, for the NZ consulate. Hope u don't mind me asking.
Biffa on 2019-02-06 said: Yes it does. It gives instructions for sending and getting the police certificate (which happened for me within 24 hours). Then its just the DS160, medical forms to take to citymed for your medical, birth cert, cv/resume, I134 support form, upon a few other things you have to fill out like last employer etc. Its all pretty straight forward.
You don't send in your passport, you take that to your interview, along with continued evidence of your ongoing relationship and pay the fee at the time of the interview. Hope that helps
CJD on 2019-03-15 said: Congrats on your approval!! Glad to hear the interview was simple!
Biffa on 2019-03-15 said: Yea! It was! Nothing to worry about if you’re genuine.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
