Hi. We are a Windsor/Detroit couple. Had interview in Montreal June 5th and POE at Detroit
/Windsor Tunnel was June 13th. Getting married this Friday, June 21st. Everything has gone well to this point, although slow. Have all AOS docs ready to send as soon as marriage certificate is available. At POE I asked for copy of medical because I knew I needed it for I-485. They said they couldn’t give it to me and that I didn’t need it anyway because the entire file in the sealed envelope would be sent to USCIS. The Toronto doctor didn’t give me anything either. Did you have any medical info to send in with I-485? I was just going to send my vaccination record in that my family doctor gave me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips dealing with Detroit office. Thanks!

Hey. Good luck on the whole application process!
We sent in my vaccination record, as well as the sealed medical results. My Dr gave me a copy of what was in the sealed envelope. I think new rules require you to send your medical info in with your I-485, but I could be wrong. Although the interview notice does mention to bring the medical results with you if you haven't already submitted them. So I'm a bit unsure. Are you using a lawyer?
Overall we've found the Detroit office to be very quick, and from what I can gather online they are a good office to deal with...friendly, quick.
Hope that helps.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
