Hey question... i see u are dominican republic also lol. I have recieved the case# and invoice#, and i have also completed the ds160 and paid the visa fee. Can I scheudule the embassy interview, finger prints and medical now? Or is it safe to wait until the case is "in transit" from the NVC to embassy. I am reading different ways to do it. I dont want to mess it up lol any help would be great!

From what I understand, you need to complete the medical exam and have the results with you before the interview- so, if you want to schedule your medical and interview now, go ahead, but make sure you have enough time between the medical exam and the interview (5 business days?). It can take around 5 days for the embassy to receive your petition, so I would say that if you want, you could get the first interview date that occurs after 3 weeks from now (just to be safe). Hypothetical: embassy receives petition in 1 week from now, you schedule your medical for 2 weeks from now, and have the interview 3 weeks from now. We waited until the embassy received it and then scheduled the medical and the interview. If we had known we could do the ds160 and schedule everything sooner... We would have... But!! Trust the process. But don't wait for the embassy to tell you to book the medical exam and interview. They won't notify you. We waited like a week after NVC said the embassy had received it.

Hi, do you remember when have you received your interview date?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
