I got an email yesterday stating that there has been additional activity on my USCIS account. Iâ€™m hoping that itâ€™s the NVC getting finished with their part of the process. Iâ€™m hoping for an interview date early February.

Your packet gets sent to the NVC in New Hampshire. They can take up to 8 weeks to enter the data, but it appears that it normally takes about 2 weeks. They will then send the packet to Nigeria. Once you get notice that they have finished with yours at the NVC, you can call and get your number that they assigned to your petition. You have to have that number to get the biometric screening done. When Nigeria gets the packet, then the visa application can be done there and paid for, so that you guys get your interview date.

It's been difficult to get an interview date online. You may have to send an email to the embassy to schedule an appointment for interview. This is after you have completed the ds160 form, paid the visa fee and received your case number.
