RFIE for long form birth certificate. Evidence received by USCIS by 6/18.
According to the congressional inquiry this RFIE allowed USCIS to restart the timeline on my case. |

The RFIE for the AOS delayed my case by 4 weeks.
2/28 AOS, EAD, AP cases received by USCIS
6/18 USCIS received evidence for RFIE
7/31 outside normal processing time, submitted online service inquiry, no response
9/4 submitted second service inquiry
9/4 contacted congresswoman for congressional inquiry
9/10 response from congresswoman's office from USCIS: This case is currently within our normal processing times. Our records indicate that we received a response to a request for evidence for the underlying I-485 application on 6/18/2019. Pursuant to 8 CFR § 103.2(b)(10), if USCIS issues a request for initial evidence on either the Form I-765 application or the principal Form I-485 application, the processing timeframes start over from the date of receipt of the initial evidence. Congresswoman's office indicate I should contact them again if I do not receive my EAD by 12/10/2019
9/17 response re AP service request: Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case.
9/20: response re EAD service request: Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action 'shortly' |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
