Comments : We were told we were refused under the travel ban but we would be considered for a waiver. Our CEAC status was refused for about a week after the interview before changing to Administrative Processing. (Fiance holds Iranian passport)

We were asked for new medical and police checks in Dec 2019 and were then called for a second interview Feb 2020. Result was approved! Told we were given a waiver under PP9645.

Overall, we just went over the I-485 updating any information. At the end of the interview she said that she just needed her supervisors signature but then the card should be delivered in 2-6 weeks!

Comments : Biometrics Waved. We did not have a combo interview. My husband was told that he passed the citizenship part of the interview but they could not recommend the application for approval because we had the outstanding 751. The 751 got approved within a few weeks (no additional interview) and they scheduled the Oath Ceremony!

Event Description
Review Date : April 19, 2021
Embassy Review : Interview was 4/19/21 at 7:45 am. We parked across the street in 2 hr metered parking. We went into the building, through security, and the room was the first on the left. At the counter they asked if we have any new documents to submit. We gave only the updated documents and copies only (pictures, bank statements, car insurance, health insurance, 401k info).

We were then called back to have the interview. Overall, we just went over the I-485 updating any information. She asked about where we lived, what I did for a living, how we paid the bills. In addition to the documents we provided the officer asked for the following;
- Birth Certificate, Passport, marriage certificate
- Spouses Drivers license

The interview really felt like a conversation and the officer was very kind, respectful, and felt like she wanted to know our story. At the end of the interview she said that she just needed her supervisors signature but then the card should be delivered in 2-6 weeks! We were out of there before 9 am.

A few tips from the officer for the removal of conditions. She suggested to label the pictures we submit (who is in the picture, when the picture was taken). She also suggested to provide bills from both of us going to the same address.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
