All in all, it went smoothly, and my fiancee was approved for her visa!
Appointment was at 8:30am, but we arrived at the Consulate by 6:50am.
By 7:15am, there were about 5 people on line.
The doors opened at 7:30, and we were the first people who entered after displaying our appointment letter and passports.
After screening our belongings, we awaited our trip to the 19th floor.
After a few minutes, we were called to a back booth to verify we had the proper documentation. The woman was very friendly & patient.
We were then sent to he cashier to pay the $131 (cash).
After a few more minutes, we were called back to the same booth for fingerprinting. Again, the woman was very friendly.
After a few more minutes, we were called to a tiny room for the actual interview: The man was extremely friendly, and the interview lasted less than 10 minutes. Questions consisted of where/how/when we met and when she plans to enter the U.S. and what she intends to do for work. He told us that he was approving her visa request and that we should expect to receive her passport via Xpresspost within a few days. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
