Embassy Review : |
My interview was on January 24th at 1pm, arrived 30min before, but let in the embassy at 1pm
I first gave my documents to a Moroccan officer consular, who made sure that i have the exact same documents we submitted at the NVC STAGE, he took all Originals such as : Beneficiary Birth certificate, marriage certificate, Police certificate, court record and Divorce decree, I864, W2 and IRS Transcript, he then asked me to wait to be called by US CO, that day we were only women and i was the last but one to pass, so i had the opportunity to hear a lot questions, i can tell 70% of people are not prepared can't answer basic questions or miss basic document (Pictures for example) ... everyone (i guess) was approved but asked to submit additional documentation.
My husband and i over prepared, we prepared a binder with 4 sections : 1st with all NVC DOCs / 2nd with I864 and financial document support/ 3rd with Evidence and 4th with Additional Copies (just in case i miss something)
The CO called and went through, she was a very nice young lady, she greeted me :
CO : Hello How are ?
ME: Doing good, how are you
CO : Fine thank you
CO : your husband is petitioning for you
Me : Yes
CO : where did you met?
Me : Online
CO : Tell me more, what website?
Me : i answered
CO : how many times you met in Person?
ME : i answered
CO : Is it your first marriage?
ME : Yes
CO : how many times was he married before
Me : once
Co : Does he have kids ?
Me : Yes
CO : how many ? Their ages ?
Me : i answered
CO : have you met them ?
Me : Not yet
CO : What does he do for work
Me : I answered
CO : tell me exactly what is he doing
Me : i gave details
CO : I see he cas connexion to Morocco
Me : What do you mean
CO : he visited Morocco before you met?
Me : Yes
CO : OK (i know here she was talking about my Husband K1 visa with a moroccan woman) but she didn't ask more than "OK"
CO : Oh i see you applied for a tourist Visa right before your marriage, what can you say about that
Me : Got so nervous, but i told her the truth, i was applying to visit his family and friend, i've traveled many times outside Morocco and have strong ties to my country (Job and family) she wasn't convinced and asked me more details, so i gave her the very deep details.
CO : Humm nice pictures, you travel a lot together what did you guys visited ?
Me : i answered
CO : What was your favorite place and why
ME : i answered
ME : Where did you see our Pictures
CO : The pictures you uploaded on NVC ( So i encourage everyone to Pre Load evidence on NVC, we uploaded : Pictures, Flights tickets, Flowers Tickets )
ME : i have new pictures can i show them to you
CO : no it's fine, you case is Good, you will be called by ARAMEX to pick up Your passport
ME : Really ? are we approved, can i tell my husband we are approved ?
CO : Smiling Yes you can tell him.
ME : Thank you
CO : Have a nice day
It took time but i was expecting it actually, we had red flags my husband's previous K1 visa and my Tourist Visa but i prepared and said the truth, i felt like they already know about the case so the questions were based on what we had submitted.
now waiting to pick up my passport and join my love very soon incha Allah
Good luck to everyone and please PREPARE as it should, they are Serious and so we have to be.
God Bless |

Hello, thank you
When you start uploading all the other documents, I’m not aware of k1 visa process, if it’s the same or not.
Good luck

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
