Congrats! Please share any tips if you may have. We were recently approved for NOA2 and working on collecting documents (PCC and tax return docs) for NVC at the moment.

Thank you.
So a lot has changed. According to what I have been hearing, everything is now online (though you need to confirm)
All you need to keep in mind - Call NVC at regular intervals. They are faster than any email you are supposed to receive from them. Case in point - Got my interview date over the call.
Within 4-8 weeks you will get a case number but that doesn't mean you shouldn't call them once every week from hereon.
We got our case number within 4 weeks
Don't wait. Prepare in advance. Ex - The documents you need to share as part of AOS or IV package. Please get all of that in place as per the guidelines mentioned on the website. PCC should be taken care off within one month of getting the case number. Just makes it easier.
Those are the tips for now. Just don't wait, some processes run parallel after you get the case number 😊

Awesome, thank you and good luck ahead!

Just need to correct myself here. Get the PCC now! You will need to submit it as part of the package. And PCC is valid for a year. So pls apply for it and don't wait

OK, will do. My wife has an appointment at local passport office for PCC this week. Thanks again.

Congrats! Your suggestions were really helpful!
Did you get visa via mail? Also, when did you do your biometrics?
Saanish on 2018-11-27 said:
Sonu Kumar, you can apply for the pcc now, if you have received the NOA2. You don't need to wait for the case number

Thanks Rajat. I am glad my suggestions worked out for you. I collected my visa from the pickup location in Mumbai. I did my biometrics on October 19th, way before my interview. Because in Mumbai it was fine for me, if you are out of Mumbai then plan closer to the interview date
Rajat Aggarwal on 2018-11-27 said:
Yes, my spouse is from Chandigarh.
OK perfect, so there is an option to pick visa in person! How long does it take for passport to be ready?
Is there any other location other than Mumbai for Biometrics?
Saanish on 2018-11-27 said:
Yes there is an option to pick it in person.
It depends on when the visa is ready. I got it the next business day of clearing the interview but it varies.
No, you have to do biometrics in Mumbai

Congratulations! I agree the wait for spouse Visa's are way too long compared to visitors Visa's.

Hello, yes nvc will send you an email in 4—6 weeks after receiving case from uscis with your case number. Only way to know that they have received the case is by calling them.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
