Consulate Review: Egypt
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 3, 2018
Embassy Review : Hey guys .. our appointment date was 7:30
we were there an hour earlier .. the usual words keep any power banks outside etc.. we were third in line but they let me in first because I had my son with me.

we went in took a no and waited for like 30 min then we were called to the Egyptian officer she asked for my birth certificate and my sons and our marriage certificate ( Originals ) , 2 pictures for each and to open the medical and give her the papers inside that’s it, then we waited for like an hour and was called again to the interview with the consul

very nice lady asked simple questions how long have you been married ?
where is your wife now ?
what’s her job there ?
what’s your job ?

then she she told me congratulations and kept the passports and said expect it in two weeks ...

I had a huge folder of evidence was not even looked at.. my advice be prepared and get all the docs it doesn’t hurt to be over prepared and you will do great ..

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
