Hi!!! How are you?? We are also applying for a K1 visa from Colombia. We already got our case number and waiting to get a notification from the embassy. I see in your timeline you already schedule your interview. How did the embassy contact you? Through email or regular mail? Thanks

Hi. We didn’t wait for the email. We followed instructions from others. Basically when it case was set to Ready on the case tracker on ceac site, that’s when you can schedule everything. Did your case ship to the embassy already?

We called the NVC yesterday and were told that they sent it on nov 27. That case tracker you are talking about is an app?

Go here. https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
Put in your NVC number. It will either day in transit or ready. Mine was shipped that same day so yours was too. It will say in transit or more likely ready. Tell me what it says and I’ll give you the next steps

thank you so much for your help. I checked and it says ready

Thank you so much. Can I ask you one more question. Did you send your fiancée a scanned copy of the i134 or does it have a wet signature? Thanks and good luck on your interview

I sent her a scanned copy. And thank you!

Good morning. I`m sorry to bother you again, but I would like to ask you 2 things. You had told me before you didn`t wait for the embassy to contact you before scheduling the interview. Did you have any issues? It`s just that we are debating if we should wait or go ahead an schedule it. Second question is did you have to translate any documents to present at the embassy. Thanks a lot.

Hey...NO! Don't schedule until you get the email. It was a mistake that I did and now we're paying for it. Basically we scheduled the interview based on misinformation here. The day before she was supposed to go, they told her that the case was NOT ready and we should have waited until we received the email. It's there, but they have to do another step I guess, despite the tracker saying "Ready". WAIT. We have to reschedule when they send us the email!
Clara Vargas on 2018-12-12 said:
Ohhh Im sorry to hear that. Let’s hope we both get that email soon. Let’s keep each other posted. Where is your fiancée from by the way. I’m from Medellin.

Hi. How are you? I was wondering if you’ve received the email from the embassy. We emailed them a couple of times and haven’t heard back from them.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
