Very comfortable process. The female agent asked the usual check list questions; then looked through the file and said it was very complete.
We had already been married for over two year, so permanent ten year cards were issued. Took the I-94 from wife and daughter's passports, and voided the K-3 and K-4 visas and then put a temporary AOS stamp in the passport, to use until the GC arrived. |

The interview went very well for my K-3 spouse and K-4 step-daughter.
They were the last interviews for the day and I waited in the Consulate coffee shop for over 4 anxious hours. The interview was brief, maybe less than 5 minutes total. The male VO looked at my financials, which I had in a separate 1" binder, and then he scanned through a 1" binder with 8x10 color photos of us together in China. He told my wife "your husband did a very good job on all the paperwork!" Note: I had completely front-loaded all of my case files for both the I-129 and the I-130; including lots of large photos from each of my 7 visits to her in China.
My opinion is that since the inception of IMBRA, if you have a clean background; you have become involved with a foreign national who also has a clean background; you are not a Federal tax avoider/cheat; have a good/stable income; submit a COMPLETE and accurate case file, for both USCIS and the DOS to adjudicate; and demonstrate other strong bona-fides of the relationship; you will do well. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
