Comments : Our case was put on Administrative Processing due to lack of proof of domicile. The consul told us that my visa is ready for issue as long as we send them more proofs and so we did. It got to them on March 20, 2018 and they issued my visa on March 23, 2018. I thought it was going to be long because I heard a lot of horror stories of "AP" taking months and months.

P.S. I put March 23, 2018 in the Second interview date (even though we didn't really have 2nd interview) as the visa issuance date, and obviously the results would be approved.

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: Direct Consular Filing
Event Description
Review Date : March 23, 2018
Embassy Review : You only need to be there 15-20 minutes before your schedule time. So if you are scheduled at 7:10, 6:50 is enough. The process was fast and smooth. You just have to make sure you did your own preparation in terms of papers and answers.

Questions I heard that has been asked to other interviewees:
- Do you know what your husband's/wife's favorite beer?
- Can you tell me something about your spouse that noone knows?
- What do you guys fight about?

Questions that the consul asked me:
- Name and birth date
- Who's the petitioner?
- What's your relationship with the petition?
- Where and how did you meet?
- How many times did he/she visited you in the Philippines?
- How long have you guys known each other?
- How long have you guys been dating?
- When did you start dating?
- When did you get married and where?
- Have you been to any country outside the Philippines?
- What's your relationship with the joint sponsor?
- What's your final address when you arrive in the US?
- And some more that I can't remember...

It was fast and as long as you know the answers to heart, they won't doubt you.
Rating : Moderate

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
