It was definitely a long wait, my case was processed longer than normal processing times. With consistent follow up and with the help of Senator Cory Booker’s team, my EAD and advance parole document got expedited and with that I am grateful. |

Embassy Review : |
I had a 7:10 AM interview appointment, arrived there an hour earlier. The guard at the entrance checked my appointment confirmation and guided me to fall in line in the 7:10 AM slot. After about 30 minutes, they already let all the 7:10 AM applicants inside and checked our passports and DS160/DS260 forms. We pass through the security and sat down in our designated areas. I was told to go to section C. First step, the pre-screening interview. They just asked details about me like full name, date of birth, have I already traveled to other countries and in the US, if I have been married before or had kids, etc. Just basic questions that I’m sure is in your DS160 form. Second step, fingerprinting. Third and last step is the final interview. It’s basically the same questions as the ones asked in the pre-screening interview, the only added question for me was how I met my fiancé and when did we become boyfriend and girlfriend. It was really quick like less than 5 minutes. After that, the consul said my visa is approved and gave me 2 pamphlets about laws for domestic violence and a small sheet of paper where I would call to update my delivery address. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
