Have not received NOA1 cheque cleared bank on Oct 2/ 06
NOA1 sent on Oct 5 U.S. Postal Service messed up sent it back thought Lorry had moved from Apt it was the people next door that moved in #5
USCIS Tracking shows sent back undelivered Oct 23 06
Nov 27/06 Lorry calls USCIS explains what the Postal Service did with the NOA1
Everything is back on track no loss of time waited
Dec 12 Lorry calls again as we still had not received the return trip for the NOA1 after the Postal screwup She spoke to a very rude Supervisor there
She's told to wait 45 days and call back if nothing received by then
45 days will put us into Feb awaiting the return trip of the NAO1 we filed Sept 1
They assure her everything is still ongoing We're starting to have our doubts about that
We haven't gotten any notices of any kind since the Postal Service sent the NOA1 back
The online status check still saying "undeliverable Document filed
She's calling again tommorrrow Hope it's good news
Dec 19: Lorry calls again since she hasn't gotten anything and was told it was resent
She speaks to a Lady is told wait till Jan 4 and if nothing then call an put in a re request
Lorry decides to ask her "with all this happening is our case still moving She's told no when the Document came back the case went on hold
Lorry tell sher on Dec 12 she was told the case is still moving forward The lady tells her they should not have told you that
she tells her after you request an inquiry to resending
Then wait another 45 days to see if they send anything Also told if nothing is received by 170 days your case is closed the application will be cancelled
We applied Sept 19 and haven't gotten anywhere yet because of a mailman that messed up
After all that happened yesterday about our case Today Dec 21 Lorry got a letter from USCIS She was thinking it must be the re-sent NOA1 upon opening and reading it's the NOA2 Approval Notice for I-129F
Even though after being told our case wasn't being processed because of the Postal mixup It still was progressing after all
Today was a much better day than yesterday :)
Called NVC Jan 5 spoke with a very friendly person there ( big change attitude wise from USCIS personell) I was informed that our petition had been forwarded to the Consulate in Montreal on Jan 3 and that they would be sending me a package informing of what they require for my interview
The Lady was very helpful in answering some of my questions
Received packet 3 from Montreal Jan 12 Returned packet 3 Jan 15
Had medical Jan 19 in Halifax Dr Doane everything went well should have medical pkg on Jan 26 coming by courier
Waiting on interview date now
received interview appt letter packet 4 May 24
Interview is June 19 at 8:30 a.m. Finally
June 19 8:50 a.m. OH HAPPY DAY
A very pleasant experience at my interview in MTL Everyone was pleasant very well mannered. Not a sign of any rudeness or ignorance.
Lorry and I are still on cloud 9. Now just sitting and on mail watch for the ExpressPost envelope. So relieved to be done with this part of the Journey now we'll be together to go through everything else in this process
June 25 OH HAPPY DAY I have the Visa in my hand. Leaving tommorrow at 3:40 p.m. for Spokane to finally get our life together started
July 7th is our Special Day
My POE was Halifax airport on June 26. Very pleasant experience no problems what so ever . The entire procedure took about 20 minutes. They asked what my fiance's name was, what her address is when are we getting married and was I familiar with the 90 day time limit on the K-1 Visa. I said yes I know about having to get married with-in 90 days of my entering the US. The Lady then stamped some papers and my passport. I asked for and was given the Employment authorization stamp and then she told me welcome to America and showed me my way out
On July 7 at 2 p.m we were married in the backyard. There were approx 25 people attended. It was a beautiful sunny day and everything was very nice. All our planning and organizing went perfectly. After the Ceremony a great time was had by everybody
Now onto the next phase of paperwork the AOS, EAD and AP.
Civil Surgeon wouldn't sign I693A vaccination supplement unless I had a TB skin test. July 27 supplement signed finally cost $25 Tried to tell me I may need another medical for AOS
July 27 filed for AOS, EAD and AP found the G325A forms in the pile of paper next morning forgot to send them with everything else. Now waiting for an RFE for the 325A
July 31 applied for my SSN. I received my SSN card in the mail Aug 7 didn't take long what so ever
Did Biometrics appt Sept 24. EAD appoval Oct.5 received EAD card Nov.9
AP approval notice received Oct 25 Approval and AP papers received Nov. 14
Notice of interview for AOS received Dec 28 appt scheduled for Feb 6 at 7:30 a.m.

POE at Halifax Airport was very easy and fast It took about 20 minutes to do everything. The Officers were very pleasant, explained everything to me, signed and stamped papers and my passport welcomed me to the United States and wished myself and Lorry all the best |

RFE sent Oct 1 They claim I didn't include my Birth Certificate when I know I did I forgot to send the G325A forms along in original package but never received an RFE requesting them. I will take em with me to the interview in case they ask for them at that time
Interview done on Feb. 6/08 Approved . Wsn't much of an interview took all of 25 minutes. She asked several questions that I already answered on the application. The only evidence of marriage she asked for were 2 utility bills and a joint rental agreement. Never asked for the marriage certificate or wedding pics. It was very easy not as nerving as we were thinking it would be.
Received my Green Card Feb 16/08 Very fast only took 7 working business days from our AOS interview
Now have 2 yrs free from dealing with USCIS and that my friends is a Royal Treat to say the least :) |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
