Before the actual interview a lady checked the paperwork and asked my fiance if I visited her hometown. I had forgotten to take photos at her hometown (we were in a rush), but luckily we had the hotel receipt. The interviewer at the embassy spoke good Thai. They chatted briefly in Thai, but the interview itself was in English. The interviewer was polite and to the point. After a few questions he told her that the visa will be mailed in 2 weeks. She had the visa 3 days later. Obviously I wasn't there, but from what my fiance relayed, the embassy is efficient. My advice to future applicants is to be 100% truthful and provide to the embassy everything they ask for, in an organized manner. Follow the visajourney K-1 guide!!! Considering it took 5 months from NOA1 to landing in the USA, I say the visajourney K-1 guide is tried and true! |

The gentleman that interviewed us is awesome. He was thorough yet curious with my wife's not-so-good English. All in all I'm pleased with USCIS service. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
